52-Week Photo Challenge, 2013 – 2014

To my fellow bloggers:  Today I found myself feeling somewhat sad because in only 6 days our first 52-Week Challenge will come to an end.  What a year it has been!  During this year, I have made new friends, saw some magnificient photographs, read some amazing pieces of history, shared happiness over new births, shared sadness over losses, went on virtual vacations to places I have only dreamed of, and witnessed some unbelievable ways in which my fellow bloggers have matched 52 pre-determined themes with photographs.  Then I had to shake my head, snap back into reality and ask myself why I felt sad when in just the same 6 days I will be entering a new chapter in my life with another 52-week journey.  I am reminded of a quote I read once which said, “A bend in the road is not the end of the road…unless you fail to make the turn.”  [Unknown]  I have decided to make the turn and go forward on this new 52-Week Challenge with my fellow bloggers, both present and new.  We have a new year before us which will give us another 52 weeks of challenges and excitement and I am looking forward to August 1st when I can grab my camera and begin taking photographs to use in our new Challenge.  I am so happy that you, my fellow bloggers, will be taking this journey with me.  Let the fun begin!
