A 52-Week Photo Journey

Week 39 – #22. In The Trees

On the little one-lane street where my Tennessee mountain home is located are many large pines and hardwoods. As I was strolling the street a few days ago, I noticed the Wisteria winding its way upward in the trees. Springtime in Tennessee is a beautiful time of year and it seemed to me that it was more beautiful this Spring than in years past. The large purple and white blossoms filled the air with their sweet fragrance and as I stood there, I looked around at the beautiful nature surrounding me and realized how blessed I am. Feeling more artistic than usual, I used a Topaz filter and a Faststone mask for the processing.

A true Southerner, I was born in Georgia but lived most of my adult life in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2001, my husband and I retired and moved to beautiful Sarasota, FL. We quickly realized that we were not retirement material and could not play golf two or three times a week so we got our real estate licenses and affiliated with Coldwell Banker on Longboat Key. My love for photography is very beneficial to me when photographing interiors and exteriors of the homes we list. Other than photography, I have a keen interest in genealogy and golf (whenever I can find the spare time from our real estate practice).

  1. I love Wisteria too. I had a mural put in my house of wisteria on a lattice. Your photo is lovely.
