A 52-Week Photo Journey

Week 1 – #11. Favorite Room

As I was dressing this morning for my appointment with Dr. Naomi Johansen, I was thinking that today was the beginning of our 2014 – 2015, 52-Week Photo Challenge. “I had better take my camera,” I thought, “because there may be an opportunity to take a photo to satisfy a theme.” So, I grabbed my camera, jumped in the car and headed for my appointment. I must admit that although Dr. Johansen is a lovely lady and wonderful doctor, an exam room is not my favorite room.
11. Favorite Room

A true Southerner, I was born in Georgia but lived most of my adult life in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2001, my husband and I retired and moved to beautiful Sarasota, FL. We quickly realized that we were not retirement material and could not play golf two or three times a week so we got our real estate licenses and affiliated with Coldwell Banker on Longboat Key. My love for photography is very beneficial to me when photographing interiors and exteriors of the homes we list. Other than photography, I have a keen interest in genealogy and golf (whenever I can find the spare time from our real estate practice).

  1. Interesting for you to start with the opposite. Nice photo.

  2. Looks like a torture chamber!

    • You make me laugh! Dr. Johansen has such a great sense of humor and when I asked if I could photograph her exam room for the theme, she ran over to the cabinet and grabbed the syringes. It made the photo much more interesting. LOL

  3. But doesn’t it take the edge off when you are more worried about getting a good shot and less about the pain! 🙂

  4. Trust you to be the first one to post, Mary Nell! I don’t think I would ever have associated “Favorite Room” with doctors, no matter how much I liked my doctor! lol

  5. they look so happy it makes me nervous.

  6. I’m with you, I hate going to the doctor. Nice photography!
