Too often I fail to zoom in on a flower to show its softness and “simplicity.” Although it was positioned perfectly in front of an uncluttered background, I added a soft texture to my final edit.
When I saw this tiny flower, I pulled out my “macro/close-up” Tokina 100mm, 2.8 lens and focused with the hope of getting the stamens in focus. After trying several times, I managed to capture this photo. I have no idea what the name is of the flower so if anyone knows, please let me know.
While walking through Jungle Gardens last Monday, I snapped off a red blossom from a hibiscus bush and placed it behind my ear hoping I could use it in some way in my photo challenge. Finally, I saw a huge palm leave, laid the blossom on top of it and as I looked towards the sun, I knew I had found my shot. I loved the shadow effect it made.
