When I first saw someone’s artwork on the side of a building in downtown Sarasota, my first impression was that it was somewhat “quirky.” I have been trying to master portraiture photography so the more I looked at the artwork the more I thought it would make a creative backdrop for a portrait if I used a wide aperture to blur it significantly. Thanks goes out to my husband for agreeing to be my model.
A true Southerner, I was born in Georgia but lived most of my adult life in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 2001, my husband and I retired and moved to beautiful Sarasota, FL. We quickly realized that we were not retirement material and could not play golf two or three times a week so we got our real estate licenses and affiliated with Coldwell Banker on Longboat Key. My love for photography is very beneficial to me when photographing interiors and exteriors of the homes we list.
Other than photography, I have a keen interest in genealogy and golf (whenever I can find the spare time from our real estate practice).

Oh dear. I was confused…..I was thinking it was the portrait subject that was quirky! Nice job.

Nice portrait. I do like your blurred bokeh. Works well in this photo.

nice of your subject to model for you. You don’t have to look for a subject.
